The vast lands of Azeroth can be a dangerous yet exhilirating place to explore. From the lush green forests of Elwynn, to the dry wastelands of the Barrens, to the icy peaks of Winterspring and the unforgiving wastelands of the Burning Steppes, the citizens of the great continents of Azeroth know their fair share of danger. Adventurers and would-be heroes must fight a constant battle against sinister forces seeking to plunder the wealth, power and mystique of the land, working with dark gods, fel demonic forces or dangerous necromantic magics in order to achieve their ends. New heroes are often slain in their quests for glory, felled by the superior numbers and sheer strength of their foes.
To ensure survive, an adventurer must take risks. He or she must be willing to risk life and limb to gain experience, earn money and win valuable magical items if they are progress in the World of Warcraft. Leveling a character can be fun, but also tedious. While the early levels are fast and furious, the mid and high levels can become a slow, painful grind for experience and gold. Players often exhaust the number of available quests and still find themselves being forced to grind creatures over and over again for XP. Other times, the grind takes on a different goal as players seek to raise their reputation with factions such as the Thorium Brotherhood, Timbermaw Firbolgs, or Argent Dawn. Regardless of what it is, to succeed in WoW is to invest a great deal of time and energy.
